A Molnár Ani Galéria örömmel és büszkén tudatja, hogy a jelenleg zajló LOOP Barcelonán, a világ egyik legfontosabb videóművészeti fesztiválján és vásárán, a galéria által bemutatott mű, Forgács Péter videója nyerte el az ‘Acquisition Award 2018‘ díjat. Ennek köszönhetően Forgács Péter Méreg (A Diva in Exile) című alkotása a rangos nemzetközi zsűri egyhangú döntése alapján a LOOP és a Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA) gyűjteményének része lesz. A Karády Katalin brazíliai tartózkodását megidéző műalkotás Bán Zsófia azonos című novelláján alapszik. A fotográfia, a film és a dokumentáció nyelvezetét érzékeny módon ötvöző munkát különleges karakterének és vizuális kvalitásainak köszönhetően választották nyertesnek.
A zsűri tagjai Ferran Barenblit a barcelonai Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA) igazgatója, Benjamin Weil a santanderi Centro Botín művészeti vezetője, Marcella Lista a párizsi Centre Pompidou kurátora és Dirk Snauwaert a brüsszeli WIELS Contemporary Art Centre művészeti vezetője voltak.

Ani Molnár Gallery is happy and proud to announce that in the presentation of the gallery, Péter Forgács‘s video received the ‘Acquisition Award 2018‘ at the currently running LOOP Barcelona, which is one of the most important video festival and fair of the world. As a result of the jury’s unanimous decision Forgács’s piece, Venom – A Diva in Exile will be included in the LOOP collection in deposit at Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona (MACBA). The piece which is based on a short story written by Zsófia Bán, evokes Katalin Karády’s exile in Brazil and combines photography, documentation and film through emotional and sensitive ways, the jury has valued its exceptional character and its video graphic qualities.
The commitee consisted of Ferran Barenblit, director of the Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona, MACBA, Benjamin Weil, artistic director of the Centro Botín, Santander, Marcella Lista, curator and conservator of the Centre Pompidou, Paris and Dirk Snauwaert, artistic director of the WIELS Contemporary Art centre, Brussels.
